Early Care and Education Department

Welcome!  The Family Central Early Care and Education (ECE) Department is proud to oversee the Quality Improvement Supports (QIS) contract (as funded by the ELC of Broward County, Inc.) and other projects that positively impact the lives of young children, their families and their child care providers throughout Broward County. 

The goals of QIS are as follows:

  1. Increase the quality of services delivered by direct child care service providers by being a central and accessible source of information on providing access to coordinated quality improvement supports, providing targeted technical assistance and training in areas that are linked to positive child outcomes. 
  2. Increase the quality of services delivered by direct service providers by being a central and accessible source of information with access to resources to support learning linked to positive child outcomes.

Technical Assistance

Legally operating child care providers in Broward County may be eligible to receive technical assistance delivered by a team of experienced ECE coaches.  To find out how your child care site may be eligible to receive technical assistance, please contact Monica Pujol-Nassif, Director at: MPujol-Nassif@familycentral.org

Coaching

Seventeen degreed individuals comprise the ECE Coaching team and represent a diverse background in education, family services, specialization and training.  To review a list of expertise, please click here

Quality Counts!

The QIS contract is a participant in the Quality Counts! voluntary initiative in Broward County as funded by the Early Learning Coalition of Broward County, Inc. and implemented by local partners including the Broward County Child Care Licensing Enforcement.  For information on entry into the Quality Counts!  Program please click here.
