We have created this section to provide curriculum guides, links, presentations and other resources and information.  We hope that you will find this information useful and we welcome any feedback from you that may help to improve our curriculum support services.


Curriculum Training Plan

must be completed for all Directors, Family Child Care providers, curriculum specialists and lead teachers serving children younger than school age.    This plan must remain at your site and available for review by the Program Compliance Specialist at the time of monitoring.  See  PBSC Institute of Excellence in Early Care and Education and Family Central’s training calendar, list of approved trainings and training requirements to help you in your planning. If local training is not offered for your pre-approved published curriculum, you will need to contact the publisher for training. You must update your plan as needed.

On-line Presentations

Below is an on-line presentation providing an overview of curriculum related topics.

  • Character Development and the Preschool Curriculum (approximately 11 minutes- please be patient as it may take some time to load the presentation based on the speed of your Internet connection). 
    • The Readiness Act of 1999 requires all providers receiving subsidies implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum and character development program. This presentation provides insights into how to include character develop in your curriculum.
