Getting Help Paying For Child Care

School Readiness child care assistance is available to families who are at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level and are employed or engaged in an eligible educational activity a minimum of 20 hours per week.  We have provided an online tool to assist with estimating your annual or monthly Federal Poverty Level percentage

Families may apply by calling Family Central Child Care Specialist at 561-514-3300, extension 3396 or by selecting Child Care Information from our phone menu. 

Your information will be reviewed by our staff specialist. If you are potentially eligible, you will be placed on the Wait List until enrollment takes place, depending on availability of funding.

    The Child Care Calculator allows families to examine their financial situation both with and without the cost of child care. Factors such as cost of child care, work related expenses, monthly bills, and savings or retirement contributions are all included in the calculator. Families will be able to get an idea of their monthly budget and how child care will impact that budget
