Provide technical assistance and training to providers to achieve accreditation.
Curriculum Development
Assist Coalition with provider curriculum review. Provide training and technical assistance on the use of appropriate curricula.
Early Head Start
Provides oversight, training, technical assistance and support to family child care Early Head Start providers.
Inclusion
Provides training and technical assistance to providers in the areas of inclusion and behavioral issues and maintains a provider warm line.
Provider Meetings
Monthly gatherings to network and update providers on policies and procedures.
Provider Orientation
Offers training to providers new to the School Readiness and Voluntary Pre-K programs. This includes owners, directors, family child care providers, and administrative support.
Quality Enhancement Payments
Provides quarterly payments to providers who are part of the Quality Improvement System
Quality Improvement System Family Child Care Coaching
Quality Improvement System Family Child Care Coaches work with family child care providers participating in the Quality Improvement System. They provide intensive technical assistance to increase the quality of child care in family child care.
Resource Development
The Resource Developer assists prospective providers during the licensing and start-up process and provides information on business and marketing.
Resource Library
The Resource Library provides patrons in the community the opportunity to check out books, materials and resources free of charge. The library also provides free story time activities, arts and crafts activities and other special events.
Resource Mobile
The Resource Mobile provides resources on wheels to providers. The Resource Mobile also offers Mobile Lending Library Services.
SEEK Scholarships
Administers and processes scholarships for conferences and workshops that are available to providers that hold a rate agreement with Family Central.
Training
Provides in-service training to the provider community. CEU’s are also offered.
Quality Assurance Services
Post Audit Attendance Monitoring
Reviews sign-in sheets and compares with attendance records to ensure proper reimbursement payments to providers
Provider Compliance
Provide training and technical assistance to providers to ensure they meet local, state and federal standards. Coordinates provider compliance plans.
Quality Improvement System Assessments (Early Childhood)
Program Assessors assess the quality of child care programs volunteering to be part of the quality rating system. Providers are assessed yearly with 50% of the rooms being rated. The assessment measures the quality of the environment, interaction, program/activities and routines.
Quality Improvement System Assessments (School-Age)
Program Assessors assess the quality of after school care programs which are part of the Prime Time Quality Improvement System.
Rate Agreement/VPK Monitoring
Program Compliance Specialists monitor providers a minimum of once a year to ensure compliance with the Family Central rate agreement and/or VPK agreement.
