Resource & Referral Services
Free information and referral services are provided within 24 hours of specific child care requests from parents including, location, type of program, curriculum, transportation, fees, bilingual services and staff credentials. Parents, regardless of income, are provided information on what to look for in quality child care.

Waiting List
Maintains and updates the waiting list for subsidized childcare.  Counselors prescreen customers for eligibility based on income and family size.
               
Parent Complaints about Providers
Complaints regarding providers are received and routed either to the licensing agency or to the Abuse hotline, as appropriate.  

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) Eligibility & Enrollment
Determines a child’s eligibility for Florida’s free VPK program, educates parent/guardians on what to look for while shopping for a VPK program for their child, explains the program options that are available.  Coordinates enrollments once a parent has chosen a provider and the provider has accepted the child into their program.  Processes any requests for a child’s transfer into a different VPK program.

VPK Outreach Events
Coordinates and publishes a listing of locations and times where parents may apply for the VPK program at sites conveniently spread throughout the county.

Children At Risk of Abuse or Neglect
Provides childcare for children referred by DCF or their subcontractors who have been determined to be at risk of abuse or neglect.  The purpose of childcare is so that the eyes of the community are on those children, assisting in maintaining their safety.

Project Safety Net
Serve as a liaison with DCF and their subcontractors to ensure that there is no interruption in services for the children who are considered to be at risk of abuse or neglect.

Continue-to-Care Program
Administers a CSC-funded program for (a) children whose parents have been determined to be no longer eligible for School Readiness or other subsidized services, and (b) children referred through the Healthy Beginnings network of providers.  Care is continued until the child enters kindergarten if the child is enrolled at a QRS site.

Refugee/Entrant Childcare Services
Performs R&R and eligibility/enrollment services for children referred by refugee employment services whose parents, primarily (but not exclusively) from Cuba and Haiti, are able to document their status as refugees, parolees, or asylees.

Teenage Parent Childcare Services
Performs R&R and eligibility/enrollment services for children referred by the School District of PBC, whose parent is enrolled in school and has taken a parenting class.

Workforce Innovation Act (WIA) Childcare Services
Performs R&R and eligibility/enrollment services for children referred by Workforce Development who are participating in training to obtain employment or to update their training to improve their employability status.

School Readiness Funded Childcare Services
Performs R&R and eligibility/enrollment services for children whose parents are either applicants or recipients of Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF); whose parents are former recipients of TANF; or whose parents were on the waiting list for subsidized childcare.  Redetermines eligibility at least every six months.
    
VPK Reimbursement to Providers
Prints and mails out attendance rosters each month to providers who have children enrolled at their site for the VPK program.  Processes the completed attendance rosters, tracks absences, and approves payment to each provider for VPK services.  Mails out payment reports and receives/processes provider requests for payment adjustments.
    
Subsidized Reimbursement to Providers
Prints and mails out attendance rosters each month to providers who have children enrolled at their site for all subsidized childcare programs.  Processes the completed attendance rosters, tracks absences, and approves payment to each provider for subsidized services.  Mails out payment reports and receives/processes provider requests for payment adjustments.
